2022 Indian Pursuit debuts as the new Challenger

Indian Motorcycles has revealed a new bagger motorcycle called ‘Pursuit’, available in two variants: Pursuit Limited and Pursuit Dark Horse. As you can tell from the photos, it is based on the Challenger model. MSRP in America starts at $29,999.

So, is it just that 2-Up Touring Seat the difference between the Pursuit and the Challenger? Well, kinda, but not really. If you opt for the Pursuit Limited with Premium Package ($32,999), you get to electronically adjust the rear suspension preload; Smart Lean Technology (uses Bosch IMU); heated seat, and driving lights in lower fairings. Also, a few more differences between the two motorcycles are you get navigation with the 7-inch touchscreen; a 200-watt audio system as opposed to 100-watt in the Challenger; adjustable passenger floorboards, and heated grips.

The rest of the features will remain as is, such as Apple CarPlay integration; power windscreen; adjustable air vents; a 12-volt charging socket; cruise control; TPMS; Rear Cylinder Deactivation system; brakes measuring 320 mm at the front (dual) & 298 mm at the rear (single), and a lot more. In fact, both motorcycles offer a ton of features.

Powering the Indian Pursuit is the same 1,768 cc V-Twin engine with the same 91 kW (122 bhp) and 173.5 Nm (128 lb-ft) on offer. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
