Hyundai has taken the wraps off the 2024 Elantra N for the U.S. market, scheduled to arrive at your nearest dealership in early Jan 2024. Prices are yet to be revealed, but just to give you an idea, the 2023 Elantra N carries a starting MSRP of $32,900.

The North American-spec Elantra N looks just as hot & spicy as the one that debuted for the Chinese market earlier this year, but the wheel design here is different. The 19-inch forged alloy wheels are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires, and they’re claimed to shave off total unsprung weight by 15 kg (33 lbs) compared with the previous wheel design, offering an enhanced handling response and ride comfort.

Other key highlights include a reinforced engine-mount membrane for reduced vibrations and improved agility, G-bushing reinforcement for improved yaw response and steering precision, a new rear-suspension S/ABS insulator (changed from rubber to urethane on the rear support) for improved damping and yaw response, and Electronic Controlled Suspension (ECS) featuring updated software optimized for the hardware changes.

Powering the 2024 Elantra N in North America is a 2.0-litre (1,998 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 206 kW (280 metric hp/276 bhp) and 392 Nm (289 lb-ft) of torque. The output figures remain unchanged. The engine can be coupled with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed DCT, driving the front wheels.
