Genesis has taken the wraps off the G70 facelift that’ll go on sale starting in Korea next month. It sports an updated version of the Genesis brand design language.

Speaking of which, the signature styling elements such as the crest grille and the Quad Lamps are present here too, but looks a lot more sophisticated than before. The styling oozes a subtle German flair, especially the side profile with those swanky new wheels. I think the best angle to look at is from the rear-three quarters.

Genesis calls that front fender grille as “side air extractors”, which means they’re functional after all. The rear-end sports a body-colored diffuser-like insert flanked by oval tailpipes on either side.

The interior layout appears largely similar to the outgoing model, except for a new 10.25-inch floating infotainment system that’ll receive OTA updates. It also boasts a Valet mode. The wireless charging pad can now accommodate larger smartphones.

As for the juicy bits, the G70 will offer a 185 kW (252 metric hp) 2.0L turbo petrol, a 272 kW (370 metric hp) 3.3L turbo petrol and a 149 kW (202 metric hp) 2.2L turbo diesel. All three engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that drives the rear wheels as standard. There’ll also be AWD options. Download the brochure here.
