Unless you’re a classic car aficionado, you probably aren’t aware of this. The GR Heritage Parts Project is a Toyota initiative to help customers keep their beloved, memory-filled Toyota classics on the road. Currently, the program offers more than 300 parts for eight models, including 2000GT, A70 Supra, A80 Supra, AE86, Land Cruiser 40, Land Cruiser 60, Land Cruiser 70, and Land Cruiser 80. Joining that list of parts is the A80 Supra dashboard.
The cluster (the cut-outs and circles where the instruments go) is already in the parts list, so the new addition is just the external housing that extends to the passenger side. The reproduced dashboard replicates the texture of the original, down to the grain orientation, while incorporating modern materials to address durability concerns, the company says.
The parts will be available across Japan through GR Garage locations, Toyota dealerships, and JMS outlets. Some of these places may offer installation services, so it’s a good idea to ask them before you leave.
