FLYING FLEA C6 retro motorcycle launched at Rs 2.79 lakh

First store in Jayanagar, Bengaluru

A wild new electric motorcycle called the Flying Flea C6 has entered the Indian market, priced at Rs 2.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Bengaluru. For those opting for Battery-as-a-Service, the price will be Rs 1.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Bengaluru. Test rides are available at the first Flying Flea store in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Deliveries will begin at the end of May 2026. The company plans to expand to other cities in a phased manner.

For those who are still scratching their heads, Flying Flea is Royal Enfield’s all-electric sub-brand. The name “Flying Flea” is a homage to Royal Enfield’s 1940s lightweight military motorcycles. The C6 will soon be joined by the S6, an enduro-style motorcycle.

The Flying Flea C6 looks very attractive, indeed, with its retro-modern styling. The company calls it a “neo-vintage” design. This modern iteration is available only with a single seat, as was the case with the original Flying Flea. Also, the original had a carrier in the back for the military personnel to carry their bags around, but the modern iteration needs a second seat – at least as an optional accessory. But either way, it’s a cool-looking motorcycle.

Some of the key features of the C6 include a forged aluminium exoskeleton frame, girder fork front suspension, a 3.5-inch circular touchscreen, Google Maps navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and a magnesium-alloy finned battery casing. Rider aids include cruise control, lean-angle-sensing ABS, bi-directional crawl mode, auto-hold, and swappable foot pegs.

The PMS motor produces 15.4 kW (21 metric hp) and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft), drawing juice from a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery pack containing Nickel Cobalt Aluminium cells. Top speed is claimed to be 115 km/h (71.5 mph). Range is claimed to be 154 km (96 mi) as per the Indian Driving Cycle (IDC). The C6 can be charged with a standard 16 Amp wall outlet; charging from 20% to 80% is claimed to take about 65 minutes.
