There are a few things in this world you can’t figure out why they exist or how it happens. Take an uneducated individual becoming a Prime Minister for the 3rd time in a certain country, for example, or a 700+ horsepower pick-up truck. While an uneducated PM for the 3rd time is certainly a bad thing, boy, am I glad that such supertrucks exist just because you can create such supertrucks.
The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee “muscle trucks” lineup includes three variants: 1500 Rumble Bee, 1500 Rumble Bee 392, and 1500 Rumble Bee SRT. The base model will be available by late 2026, while the other two will arrive in the first half of 2027.
The range-topping 1500 Rumble Bee SRT is billed as the fastest production truck ever, and I don’t think we can argue with that. I mean, if you look at the sporty bodykit it wears, it has got not only a 4.5-inch front splitter, but also a rear spoiler! A freakin rear spoiler for a pick-up truck! Drag co-efficient is claimed to be 0.357 Cd. The truck rides on 22-inch aluminium wheels wrapped with Pirelli all-season tyres. The optional Track Pack gets you Goodyear all-season tyres rated for 274 km/h (170 mph) top speed. The front discs measure 410 x 42 mm, gripped by Brembo 6-piston callipers.
RAM says that the frame has been modified for this application. A total of 13-inches of length is removed, reducing frame flex by 10% for greater rigidity and response to driver inputs. For the SRT, the air suspension with Bilstein dampers is included as standard. In Track Mode, the truck is lowered by 1.5-inches.
The 1500 Rumble Bee SRT packs a 6.2-litre supercharged Hellcat HEMI V8 with 579 kW (777 bhp/787 metric hp) and 922 Nm (680 lb-ft). Transmission remains an 8-speed ZF automatic. The official 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) sprint time is 3.4 seconds, and the top speed is 274 km/h (170 mph).
For those who don’t wanna go full bonkers, there’s the 1500 Rumble Bee 392, packing a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 with 350 kW (470 bhp/476 metric hp) and 616 Nm (455 lb-ft). The official 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) sprint time is 5.2 seconds.
Brakes are a bit smaller too, measuring 378 mm x 30 mm at the front, gripped by two-piston callipers, and 375 mm x 22 mm at the rear, gripped by single-piston callipers. The optional Track Pack adds an electronic spool differential (intended for drag race starts and burning rubber) that can lock the axle to command an even torque split between the rear tyres. An asymmetric limited slip differential remains an optional upgrade.
The base 1500 Rumble Bee packs a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 with 294 kW (395 bhp/400 metric hp) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft), which are more than sufficient numbers for a so-called muscle truck. The official 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) sprint time is 6.1 seconds.
