Hyundai INSTER Lounge joins the lineup with minty flavours

Hyundai sells a tiny city crossover called the ‘Inster‘ in Europe, which essentially is a BEV version of the Casper – sold in Korea. There’s a new mid-spec variant called the Inster Lounge, billed as the top-of-the-range variant of its all-electric A-segment model. Prices in Germany start at €29,850 (including VAT), which is the same price as that of the Inster Cross.

The Inster Lounge is available in a new Glow Mint exterior colour, in addition to Atlas White, Unbleached Ivory, Tomboy Khaki and Abyss Black Pearl options. Those 17-inch wheels with 90-degree-angled covers are exclusive to the model. However, if the looks are your primary concern, then I guess the Inster Cross looks a lot better.

Inside, the Inster Lounge has a special theme going on, which is a combo of Dark Grey and Mint Green with Glow Mint accents. The seats are upholstered in a combination of cloth and leather. Some of the other key features include new premium speakers with Kevlar membranes, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, fully foldable front-row seats and sliding, adjustable second-row seats.

The Inster Lounge can be specified with either a 42 kWh battery combined with a 71 kW (97 metric hp) electric motor, or a 49 kWh battery paired with an 84 kW (114 metric hp) motor. Depending on the configuration, it is claimed to offer a WLTP range of up to 360 km (224 mi) on a single charge.
