You probably remember reading about the Skoda Epiq a month ago. Well, now it’s time for its larger sibling called the Peaq, billed as the brand’s largest electric vehicle ever and a new flagship. Skoda also classifies the Peaq as an electric alternative to the Kodiaq. Prices in Czech start at CZK 1,150,000 ($53,884 or €47,464).
| Variants | Base Price (CZK) |
| Selection | 1,150,000 |
| Exclusive Selection | 1,525,000 |
| Sportline | 1,450,000 |
All three variants are available either as RWD or AWD in the Czech Republic; the prices mentioned above are for RWD.
While the Epiq took styling cues from the Skoda Vision 7S concept, the Peaq is actually a production version of it. It retains most of the styling elements from the concept. Except for the base Selection variant, the other two get the Matrix LED headlights. The panoramic glass roof offered on the Sportline (CZK 45,000 option) is claimed to be the largest ever offered in a Skoda. Covering an area of 2.1 m², it features Dynamic Shade Control technology, allowing occupants to adjust the level of tinting and light transmission.
As you can probably tell from the photos, the Peaq is a large vehicle with three rows of seating. It measures 4,874 mm long, 1,867 mm wide and 1,664 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,970 mm. It is slightly larger than the Kodiaq. The aerodynamically optimized wheels range between 19- and 21-inches depending on the variant and/or options. The frunk is rated at 37-litres.
The variant names might be different for global markets. The entry-level Peaq 60 comes with a 150 kW (204 metric hp) rear electric motor, drawing juice from a 63 kWh (59 kWh net) battery pack. Range is estimated to be 440 km (273 mi). Next up, there’s the Peaq 90 with a 210 kW (286 metric hp) rear electric motor, drawing juice from a 91 kWh (86 kWh net) battery pack. This is the largest battery ever fitted to a Skoda, claimed to offer a range of over 630 km (391 mi), thanks in-part to a new heat pump. Lastly, we’ve the Peaq 90x, which as the name suggests, is a dual-motor AWD variant. It offers a combined power output of 220 kW (299 metric hp), enabling a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 6.7 seconds. The battery pack is gonna be the same 91 kWh, claimed to offer a range of up to 605 km (376 mi).
Some of the key highlights inside include a portrait-oriented 13.6-inch infotainment display, a 16-speaker Sonos audio system, standard ambient lighting, AGR-certified seats with massage functions, wireless phone charging with magnetic alignment, and a 360° parking assistant. Passive safety includes standard 10 airbags. Standard ADAS includes Front Assist, Crossroad Assist, Turn Assist, Lane Assist and Side Assist – which includes Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning—as well as Predictive Cruise Control.
