Jeep is showcasing the Wrangler Scrambler SRT Concept at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The concept boasts a couple of firsts: the first desert-racer Jeep to wear an SRT badge and the first Wrangler with independent front suspension. Will there be a production version in the near future? Well, that kind of expectation may be harmful, but you can expect to see some of the features and/or styling elements in the regular products.
So, where shall we begin? I guess we should begin with the obvious, which is its styling. Speaking of which, the concept is a modern take on the CJ-8 Scrambler from the ’80s. However, notice that the front fascia has a sharknose shape, giving the vehicle that all-important aggressive look. The concept is finished in the so-called Punk’n orange paint, with black/dark elements giving it the necessary contrast. Especially, the bronze-painted beadlock wheels are a perfect match for this orange-painted desert-racer.
Those seats in the bed are installed into floor-mounted hooks, which means they can be removed entirely or rotated (180-degree) to create rear-facing seating. Removing the seats entirely frees up the full bed for camping gear, motorcycles and other adventure equipment.
What’s under the hood? Well, it’s the 6.4L HEMI V8 with 350 kW (470 bhp/476 metric hp) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft). One of the key highlights of this concept is bespoke high-travel independent front suspension, developed with off-road racing champion Casey Currie. The suspension architecture builds on the system first showcased on the Jeep Striker Concept, which Currie drove to victory at the NORRA 500.
