Volkswagen introduces Vento Preferred Edition

Volkswagen has launched the Vento Preferred Edition in India, hoping to meet the “requirements of corporate executives”. This special edition is mainly some visual upgrades with couple of additional features on Comfortline variants of the Vento MPI, TSI, TDI, and TDI DSG. The Vento Preferred Edition costs Rs 50,000 more over the standard variants.

The Vento Preferred Edition comes with visual upgrades like alloy wheels, blacked out roof, black side moulding and roof rails. On the inside, the special edition model gets leather seat covers, a portable navigation device and a wireless reverse parking camera.

No mechanical changes under the hood, the Vento Preferred Edition continues to offer 3 engines – 1.6 litre MPI with 5 Speed manual, 1.2 TSI with 7 Speed DSG and the new 1.5 TDI with 5 Speed Manual or 7 Speed DSG.

Volkswagen recently updated the Vento’s 1.5 litre diesel engine with a larger turbocharger, which now produces 108 bhp. The same engine does duty on the VW Ameo and Skoda Rapid as well.
