Honda has revealed the Jazz facelift (known as Fit in several international markets) for the Japanese market. “A minor model change” as Honda calls it, will go on sale in late June 2017. The JDM-spec model adapts an “advanced safe driving support system” called Honda Sensing.

The exterior tweaks are so subtle that it would pass off as any Jazz to a casual eye. But the front fascia now looks sharp with LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The headlamp and the grille setup is pretty similar to the 2017 City; we can call it a new family face. The new bumper design, blacked-out ORVMs and the new alloy wheels add a touch of sportiness to the car. There are a total of 12 exterior color choices.

Honda says the interior comfort has been enhanced. The JDM-spec model gets a total of three petrol engines (1.3-litre and 1.5-litre) including the one with a hybrid powertrain (petrol-electric).

About the ‘Honda Sensing’ safety feature, the system gets a total of 8 driver assistance functionalities. These include Collision Mitigation Brake (CMBS), Pedestrian accident reduction steering, Label recognition function (street signs), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Outdoor departure suppression function.
