Croatia’s Rimac Automobili is in the news again. This time, the company has unveiled their second electric hypercar C_Two at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

The Concept_One was known for its cutting edge technology inside-out. The C_Two is no exception. It begins from the outside with the headlamps. Each unit contains a hand-built squadron of 58-LEDs choreographed by a Rimac control unit, equipped with its own ventilation system.

The Active Aero bits are on the bonnet, front splitter, rear wing (which acts as an air-brake), and the rear diffuser. The drag coefficient is 0.28 Cd.

As for the construction, the C_Two features a full carbon fibre monocoque with bonded carbon roof, integrated structural battery pack and rear carbon subframe, with crash structures formed from aluminium and carbon fibre.

The numbers are what everyone is interested in and needless to say, they’re incredible. Four electric motors power each individual wheel, developing a total output of 1,408 kW (1,914 hp) and 2,300 Nm (1,696 lb-ft) of torque. The C_Two is claimed to sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.97 seconds and on to a top speed of 412 km/h (256 mph).

Front has a pair of single-speed gearboxes for each wheel, while the rear has a pair of two-speed gearboxes – again, one for each wheel.

The battery pack has a capacity of 120 kWh containing 6,960 cylindrical cells in 21700 form-factor. Claimed range is 650 km (403 mi) as per NEDC. With 250 kW DC fast charging, up to 80% of charge can be achieved in less than 30 minutes.

Unlocking of the car happens via facial recognition. The interiors get a display even for the co-driver displaying the car’s current functionality. There are gorgeous billet rotary controls for functions such as switching through driving modes, controlling the amount of torque sent to the back wheels in 10% increments, gear selecting and start/stop.

Active safety kit includes Collision risk prediction and Automatic Emergency Braking with evasive control (steering and motion planning) for collision avoidance. The car features 8x cameras (including front stereo vision), 1 or 2 Lidar, 6x radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. In fact, the C_Two is capable of Level 4 autonomous driving.

For those who’re wondering, the C_Two weighs 1,950 kg (4,299 lbs).
