Fiat has revealed the Blue Sky Edition package for the 2018 500X Models. Based on the ‘Pop’ trim, the aforementioned package adds features inside-out.

On the exterior, the Blue Sky Edition gets automatic headlamps, fog lamps, and 17-inch aluminium wheels — on front-wheel-drive models. In addition, the premium touches include satin chrome accents on the mirror caps, door handles, side moldings, fog-lamp and taillamp bezels, front and rear badges, and liftgate handle as well.

There are 4 exterior paint jobs to choose from — Bianco Gelato (White Clear Coat), Blue Sky Metallic, Nero Cinema (Black Clear Coat) and Grigio Graphite (Graphite Grey).

The Blue Sky Edition’s interior features a blue-toned environment with unique blue-patterned cloth seats, a blue instrument panel, and a dual-pane powered sunroof.

Other features include a standard Uconnect 4 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, voice command, and SiriusXM Radio. The optional BeatsAudio premium sound system includes 8 speakers and a subwoofer.

The crossover is available in two engine options. The 1.4-litre Turbo 4-cylinder MultiAir engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and generates 160 hp and 184 lb.-ft. (250 Nm) of torque.

The 2.4-litre 4-cylinder Tigershark engine (standard on the Trekking and Lounge models; available on the Pop) is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, producing 180 hp and 175 lb.-ft. (237 Nm) of torque.

The all-wheel-drive system disconnects the rear axle when not needed to improve fuel efficiency.

Fiat says that the 2018 500X is loaded with up to 70 available advanced safety and security features, including Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus, rain-sensitive windshield wipers, Blind-spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Path detection.
