BMW M2 Competition launched at Rs 79.90 lakh

BMW has launched the M2 Competition in India, priced at Rs 79.90 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. The car was revealed earlier this year as a replacement for the standard M2.

Exterior equipment includes adaptive LED headlamps, gloss-black grill, BMW Individual high-gloss window surrounds, aerodynamically optimized M exterior mirrors, double round exhaust tailpipes on either side, and 19-inch M light-alloy wheels in Y-spoke design. The engine bay has a strut brace made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP).

Interiors get M door sills, M leather steering wheel, M seat belts, and optional M Sport bucket seats with integrated headrests. Trim elements include a combination of carbon fibre & Pearl Chrome or high-gloss black & Pearl Chrome.

Dual-zone climate control, 6.5-inch infotainment with iDrive, 7-speaker audio system, and sports seats with electric adjustability and memory as standard. Options list includes an 8.8-inch Navigation system Professional and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Powering the M2 Competition is a 3.0-litre (2,979 cc) in-line 6-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine, developing 410 hp from 5250 to 7000 rpm and 550 Nm of torque from 2350 to 5230 rpm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, while a 7-speed M double-clutch automatic with Drivelogic is available too. Power is sent to the rear wheels. Valve-operated M sports exhaust system is standard.
