First 2020 Toyota GR Supra fetches $2.1 Million for charity

The first production unit of the 2020 Toyota GR Supra – Global #1 with the VIN ending in 20201, was auctioned off for $2.1 Million (Rs 15 Crore approx.) at the 48th Annual Barrett-Jackson Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

All proceeds went to support the American Heart Association (AHA) – an organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, and the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) which benefits post-9/11 impacted veterans and their families.

The exterior is factory-finished with a matte gray paint, red mirror caps and matte black wheels. Inside, the Supra gets a red interior and carbon fibre inserts representing the first of the launch edition for the U.S. market.

The winning bidder also received a full VIP race track experience that includes a fully customized professional racing suit, two VIP passes and hot passes to Toyota Owners 400 – Richmond Raceway and a chance to drive the pace car and do hot laps with Michael Waltrip.
