New BMW S 1000 RR launched at Rs 18.50 lakh

BMW Motorrad has launched the 2019 S 1000 RR range in India, priced at Rs 18,50,000 for the Standard, Rs 20,95,000 for the Pro, and Rs 22,95,000 for the Pro M Sport variant. Imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU), all prices are ex-showroom, Pan India.

The new S 1000 RR made its global debut at the 2018 EICMA Show, and features newly developed chassis and suspension, lights, dashboard, and a new engine with ShiftCam technology. It is also the first motorcycle to feature an M package. Standard features include ABS Pro,  Dynamic Traction Control and DTC Wheelie Function. The optional Dynamic Damping Control adjusts the electronic chassis optimally to the riding situation in milliseconds.

The M Package gets features such as carbon fibre wheels, M lightweight battery and M Sport seat, while the Dynamic package includes heated grips, cruise control, and the aforementioned electronic Dynamic Damping Control system.

Powering the BMW S 1000 RR is a newly developed 999 cc 4-cylinder in-line motor that produces 207 hp (152 kW) at 13,500 rpm and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque at 11,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Read more about the motorcycle and check out more pictures here.
