7th generation BMW 3 Series launched at Rs 41.40 lakh

BMW has launched the 7th generation 3 Series in India, with prices starting at Rs 41,40,000 ex-showroom, Pan India. Variant wise ex-showroom prices below –

The new generation model made its global debut in October last year. Based on the Cluster Architecture (CLAR), the new 3 Series has grown in dimensions. Exterior features include LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, heated ORVMs, heat protection glazing, rain sensors, automatic driving lights, and 18-inch M light-alloy wheels.

The M Sport model gets M Aerodynamics package with front apron, side sills and rear apron in body colour with bumper trim insert in Dark Shadow metallic; Kidney Grille with vertical slats in Black High-Gloss, Kidney frame in Chrome High-Gloss, and BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line with window frame decorative moulding, window guide rail and mirror frame in Black High-Gloss.

Equipment inside includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional which comprises of 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch display; 10-speaker audio system, 3-zone auto AC, 10-speaker audio system, M Sport steering wheel, electric seat adjustment for driver and passenger with memory function for the driver, and ambient lighting.

Safety features include airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and Tyre Pressure Indicator.

The diesel models are powered by a 2.0-litre (1,995 cc) 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, developing 190 hp at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750-2,500 rpm. The 330i M Sport on the other side is powered by a 2.0-litre (1,998 cc) 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, developing 258 hp at 5,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,550-4,400 rpm.

Both engines are paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The petrol model is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds while the diesel models take an extra second.
