KTM 790 Duke launched at Rs 8.64 lakh

KTM has launched the 790 Duke in India, priced at Rs 8,63,945 ex-showroom, Pan India. The naked motorcycle gets styling and orange highlights similar to its smaller siblings such as the 390 and 250.

Features include LED headlight with daytime running lights on both sides, color TFT display, Track Mode with launch control function, Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) – a lean-angle sensitive traction control system, Bosch 9MP two-channel ABS (disengageable), Quickshifter+ system that enables clutchless up & downshifts, and die-cast, open-lattice swingarm.

Nestled inside the Chromium-Molybdenum-Steel frame is a 799 cc 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, parallel-twin engine, producing 77 kW (103 bhp) at 9,000 rpm and 87 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. While a stainless-steel exhaust is standard, buyers can go for Akrapovič system made from titanium with carbon endcap.

Suspension duties are handled by 43 mm upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear with preload adjuster. Front discs measure 300 mm with 4-piston fixed calipers, while the rear is a 240 mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper.
