Tata Motors has announced a new electric vehicle technology brand called Ziptron, which will power a range of electric vehicles starting with a new launch in Q4 FY20. The brand comprises of EV components such as the permanent magnet AC motor, battery pack, and related control systems.
Tata Motors said that the battery comes with a warranty of 8 years, and offers best in industry dust and waterproof system meeting IP67 standards.

The ‘Tron’ in the name seems to have come from the ‘Revotron’ brand which the company uses for its 1.2L petrol engine.
