At the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai showcased the Vision T Concept, a Plug-in Hybrid crossover that sports an evolved version of the brand’s Sensuous Sportiness design language.

However, it does borrow some of the design cues from the Le Fil Rouge concept. One of those is the Hidden Signature Lamp feature. When the Vision T Concept starts, the outer elements of the dark-chrome grille transforms into functional lighting. It apparently features a half-mirror system that has a chromium appearance.

Another design feature or technology Hyundai is showcasing with the Vision T Concept is something called Parametric Air Shutter Grille. It’s not a new technology, but the active grille controls the airflow to the powertrain, and optimizes aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.

The lack of ORVMs or cameras on the side is also an interesting thing to think about.

The Vision T charging port is located on the passenger side rear quarter panel and features a sliding cover. While charging, “Blue Drive” is illuminated, indicating the system is actively charging. The battery state of charge is also visually indicated (externally) in a metered, circular light cluster, creating a complete circle appearance when fully charged, Hyundai said.

No further details are available regarding its production plans or anything as such. However, we do know its dimensions. The Vision T Concept measures 181.5 inches (4,610 mm) in length, 79.3 inches (2,014 mm) in width and 67.1 inches (1,704 mm) in height. Wheelbase measures 110.4 inches (2,804 mm).

As with most of the concepts, some of the design elements or technology from this Coupe-SUV concept might make it into a production vehicle in the future, if not the whole thing.
