According to PSA’s premium marque DS Automobiles, the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense is the first 100% electric premium B-segment SUV on the market. It is now on sale in European markets with prices in the UK starting at £30,490.00 OTR (with plug-in grant).

The E-Tense looks almost identical to the regular DS 3 Crossback except for the rear end which has no tailpipes. Depending on the variant, exterior features include Matrix LED headlamps, 3D LED taillamps, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and an E-Tense exclusive Pearl Crystal paint option.

The DS 3 Crossback E-Tense’s front electric motor puts out 100 kW (136 hp) and 260 Nm of torque. If you’re interested to know its 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time, it is claimed to happen in 8.7 seconds. The top speed is 93 mph or 150 km/h.

Its 50 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is claimed to offer a range of up to 320 km (WLTP) or 430 km (NEDC). However, the UK brochure mentions a range of up to 206 km.

There are Eco, Normal, and Sport modes on offer. Apparently, the ‘Normal’ mode simulates the behaviour of an internal combustion engine.
