Hyundai has announced a ‘Night Edition’ for the Kona crossover in the U.S. market, to be available at Hyundai dealers in September this year. The Night Edition is not for the all-electric Kona but for the ICE-powered one.

As the name suggests, the Night Edition gets some subtle dark treatment such as gloss black exterior accents and 18-inch ‘Rays’ semi-gloss black alloy wheels. There are 3 exterior colors to choose from: Galactic Gray, Ultra Black and Chalk White. The feature list includes LED headlights & taillights. The interior too has gloss black bits in addition to alumium-alloy sporty pedals.

The Kona Night Edition will be powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 130 kW (177 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 264 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500-4,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT.
