Kia has revealed the high-tech interior of the 4th generation Carnival minivan, showcasing the two digital displays on the dashboard. Depending on the market, the new Carnival will be available in three- or four-row seating configurations, with space for 7, 9 or 11 occupants in total. However, we currently only have the dashboard images to showcase.

Speaking of which, the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system in the centre, both measure 12.3-inches. The floating-style side by side arrangement might remind you of the ones in Mercedes cars. Perhaps, it’s from the same supplier. What is different, however, are the icons and the design language.

There are haptic touch controls for the infotainment screen, and there’s also a shift-by-wire dial for the transmission on the centre console.

Bigger and better
The overall length of the new Carnival has grown by 40 mm to 5,155 mm. The wheelbase is up by 30 mm to 3,090 mm and the width by 10 mm to 1,995 mm. In the 7-seat configuration, the new Carnival will offer reclining captain’s chairs for second-row occupants, with adjustable backrests, armrests and legrests for a business-class seating comfort.

The new Carnival will go on sale in Korea later in the third quarter of 2020, with global markets to follow thereafter. More information is expected in the coming days.
