The Vision EQS concept we saw over a year ago, is now undergoing camouflaged testing with a couple more upcoming EQ siblings. The all-electric flagship saloon is expected to arrive in global markets sometime in 2021. In fact, Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce 6 new EQ models based on a new architecture.

In addition to the EQS saloon, there’ll be EQS SUV, EQE saloon and EQE SUV as well. In the compact class, the production of the EQA — the all-electric sibling of the GLA, will start later this year, followed by the EQB sometime in 2021.

The EQS is currently undergoing final rounds of testing including tests at the Technology Centre in Immendingen. It has already gone through tough winter testing in Scandinavia, chassis and drivetrain tests, high-speed tests in Nardo, and the overall vehicle testing in the heat of Southern Europe and South Africa.

The EQS will be produced alongside the S-Class in “Factory 56” in Sindelfingen. It is expected to offer a WLTP range of up to 700 km (434 mi).
