After the Opel Vivaro-e and Peugeot e-Traveller, Toyota’s version has made its debut, which is called the Proace Verso Electric. It is scheduled to go on sale in Europe from March 2021.

The lineup offers three body lengths: Compact, Medium and Long, with respective load volumes of 280, 640 and 1,060 litres (with all seats in place). There’s even a VIP version. As demonstrated in the pictures above, the seats can be folded, or removed altogether, should you need to.

The feature list includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, heated seats, auto-folding door mirrors, electric parking brake and keyless entry. Options include auto AC and satellite navigation. As for the safety and driver assistance, the electric van gets the latest Toyota Safety Sense suite, which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection, full-range Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

As with the aforementioned European models, the Proace Verso Electric offers the option of two battery packs. The 50 kWh pack is claimed to offer a range of up to 230 km (142 mi) while the 75 kWh pack up to 330 km (206 mi) based on the WLTP cycle. The motor offers 100 kW (136 hp) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed is electronically limited to 130 km/h (81 mph).

The van comes with a 7.4 kW single-phase onboard charger as standard, while a 11 kW charger can be found in the options list. Toyota is offering a battery warranty of 8-year/160,000 km, whichever is earlier.
