Mercedes-Benz ends 2020 with 11.7% growth in China

That’s right. Just like every other carmaker out there, Mercedes-Benz registered degrowth in every other market in 2020, except for China where it registered a growth of 11.7% with 774,382 vehicles delivered. Its AMG division, in particular, saw a growth of 32.3% last year in China.

In total (Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans), delivered 2,528,349 vehicles in 2020. The Cars division sold more than 160,000 electrified vehicles (PHEVs and BEVs), increasing the xEV share in the company to 7.4%. The GLC was the best seller among all, with approximately 320,000 units sold in 2020. The AMG division shipped 125,129 vehicles worldwide, a degrowth of 5.3%, however, as mentioned earlier, the Panamericana grille shined in China.
