Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) sold a total of 28,777 vehicles (domestic + exports) in February 2021, registering a decline of nearly 11.4% compared to 32,476 vehicles sold in February 2020. However, in the PV segment, the company sold 15,391 vehicles last month in the domestic market, a growth of nearly 41% compared to 10,938 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago.
We have witnessed a growth of 44% in UVs for the month of February 2021. Demand continues to remain buoyant for our range of SUVs and pick-ups and we have a robust order pipeline. However, the supply of semiconductors, as we all know, is a global issue and it is likely to continue for another 3 to 4 months. Going forward, we will continue to monitor the situation and closely work with our suppliers to minimize this supply risk. – Veejay Nakra, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M
