The petrol Vezel is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit, pumping out 87 kW (118 metric hp) and 142 Nm (105 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT that drives the front wheels or all four wheels (AWD) depending on the buyer’s choice.

The e:HEV variant combines a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated, Atkinson cycle petrol engine, and an electric motor at the front. The ICE pumps out 78 kW (106 metric hp) and 127 Nm (94 lb-ft) of torque, while the e-motor develops 96 kW (130 metric hp) and 253 Nm (187 lb-ft) of torque. Transmission is an e-CVT, again, with an option to go for FWD or AWD.

In Europe, the HR-V is only available as e:HEV, and Honda quotes the same output figures as mentioned above. Pre-orders have begun in the UK. Check out more photos here.
