Piaggio reveals ONE electric scooter with a removable battery pack

Everyone is making e-scooters these days. Piaggio: Yea, I’ve got ONE too.

Piaggio has revealed a new electric scooter named ‘One’, which will be available in European markets later in June 2021. But, before that, the One will make its public debut at the Beijing Motor Show (Auto China) from 28 May 2021.

The One has got a chic styling but looks fairly typical. Notice the golf ball-like dimple patterns near the headlights and on the side panels; these dimple patterns are used in many cars including Porsches and Bugattis to reduce drag and make the airflow adhere to the surface longer.

The feature list includes a keyless start system, full-LED headlights, a digital instrument display with a sensor to adapt to ambient lighting, and two motor maps (riding modes?). The e-scooter has also got disc brakes at both ends. Piaggio said that the One will be available in different variants offering different ranges, all powered by an electric motor that draws juice from a removable lithium-ion battery pack.
