The only thing it misses is Bruce Wayne’s autograph.

BMW has revealed the Japan-exclusive 8 Series Frozen Black edition, limited to five Coupé and fifteen Gran Coupé units. The cars can be ordered exclusively online and the sale begins on June 30 at 11:00 AM (Wednesday). Both 840i Coupé and 840i Gran Coupé Frozen Black editions are priced at ¥15,000,000 (includes consumption tax).

As the name suggests, both cars are fully drenched in ‘Frozen Black’ — a fancy name for matt black. Except for the headlights and taillights, pretty much everything else is drenched in black — as if the entire car was dunked in a huge tank of black paint. The kidney grille, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, tailpipes, and even the calipers are in black.

The dark theme continues in the cabin too, with exclusive black M Sport seats, black Alcantara roof liner, and piano black elements. Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is also part of the package. The Gran Coupé gets a sunroof too.

The 840i is an entry-level 8 Series model, powered by a 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 250 kW (340 metric hp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. An 8-speed automatic drives the rear wheels.
