The latest Lexus model to receive the Black Line treatment is the 2022 GX, with prices in America starting at $59,260. The GX Black Line special edition is based on the mid-range Premium grade, and is available in Starfire Pearl, Black Onyx and GX Black Line-exclusive Nori Green Pearl exterior colors.

The Black Line elements include dark chrome grille surround, dark fog lamp bezels, black window surrounds, black roof rails, Scarlet taillamps, dark chrome rear license plate garnish, body-colored door handles, and exclusive 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels. Triple-beam LED headlights are standard across all grades.

Inside, the GX Black Line features a black headliner; black and gray NuLuxe dual-tone upholstery with gray contrast stitching; and open-pore Ash Wood inlays. Other features include a 10.3-inch touchscreen, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, heating and ventilation for front seats, three-zone climate control, power moonroof, Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), and a host of standard active safety and driver assistance systems including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

The GX 460 in America is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine that pumps out 225 kW (301 bhp) and 446 Nm (329 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. A Torsen limited-slip centre differential distributes power 40:60 front to rear under most driving conditions and can vary if a wheel slippage is detected; the differential can be electronically locked if needed.
