Mahindra claims to have received 65,000 bookings for the XUV700 in just two weeks since bookings commenced on October 7, 2021. Petrol deliveries are expected to commence on 30th October 2021, while diesel buyers have to wait until the last week of November 2021. Mahindra adds that the “delivery dates to be arrived at in partnership with one of the top 3 global consulting companies, using an algorithm based process”. Not completely sure how any of this will happen amidst the global semiconductor shortage that only seems to be getting worse each day. Perhaps Mahindra has secured enough chips for the upcoming few months.
The introductory prices started at INR 12 lakh which also explains how the SUV accumulated bookings so rapidly. The above list is of revised ex-showroom prices, which start at INR 12.49 lakh and goes all the way till INR 22.99 lakh. Notice that unlike its FWD-only competitors, the XUV700 offers all-wheel-drive options as well.
