Yamaha has updated the Europe-exclusive MT-10 SP for 2022, with dealer deliveries commencing in mid-2022. Prices are yet to be revealed. Highlights include cosmetic upgrades and Euro 5-compliant CP4 engine.

The 998 cc in-line 4-cylinder engine pumps out 122 kW (166 metric hp) at 11,500 rpm and 112 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque at 9,000 rpm, and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine features a cross-plane crankshaft design for an uneven firing sequence that is said to deliver a “sensational torque for a remarkable acceleration”. The motorcycle also boasts a tuned intake system with larger intake ducts and tank-mounted acoustic amplifier grilles that are said to emit a deep roar.

Other key highlights include a lightweight 3-piece belly cowl that re-directs air towards the oil cooler; a 4.2-inch color TFT display; cruise control & speed limiter; Gen-2 Öhlins electronically controlled spool valve suspension with a choice of three semi-active and three manual modes; braided brake hoses; 320 mm dual discs at the front with Brembo calipers; Quick Shift System (QSS); 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and of course, the titanium exhaust system.
