It appears that Kia India is getting ready to launch its all-electric EV6 crossover in the country, as an undisguised EV6 GT-Line with test plates was spotted recently in Hyderabad. If rumors are to be believed, the launch is gonna happen sometime in May 2022.

The EV6 made its global debut over a year ago as a cousin of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. In the international markets, the electric crossover is available in different variants, including single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations. The GT-Line AWD offers up to 239 kW (325 metric hp) and 605 Nm (446 lb-ft) of torque. It is available only with a long-range battery pack (77.4 kWh) with yet-to-be-disclosed range. However, in the U.S. market, the long-range RWD variant has received an EPA rating of 310 mi (499 km). More on that here.

The range-topping model is gonna be the EV6 GT, available only with AWD configuration, offering 430 kW (585 metric hp) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, drawing juice from a long-range battery pack. The range is yet to be disclosed.
