Mahindra XUV700 recalled to replace the alternator belt

Mahindra has issued yet another “red alert” recall for the XUV700, and this time it is to inspect the alternator belt and auto tensioner and replace if necessary. According to reports, this recall is, again, for AWD variants.

The recall number for the aforementioned issues is 3804457. There’s another recall going on as well, which is for ESCL (Electronic Steering Column Lock) flashing; the number for this is 3756602.

Mahindra has not shared the total number of affected units for any of the aforementioned recalls. Owners can check for any service notification in the instrument display or the infotainment display in their vehicle. Alternatively, owners can contact their authorized service centre or enter their vehicle VIN here to try and check if their vehicle falls under this recall campaign.
