We belived that the X4 50 Jahre M Edition was BMW’s final 50 Jahre M Edition model in India. Well, it turns out, we were wrong. The lineup is now joined by the M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition, priced at INR 1,79,90,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. Because, of course, the 5 Series 50 Jahre M Edition needs its Competition sibling.

On the exterior, the regular BMW roundels are replaced with 50 years of M special roundels featuring staggered semicircles in blue, purple and red. Also, the exterior is painted in a special Aventurine Red Metallic. The rest of the features are carried over from the “regular” M5 Competition, including gloss black elements and 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in Jet Black. The calipers are painted in high-gloss red. BMW Laserlight, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, a full-color head-up display, 4-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Merino leather upholstery in Brown-Black, Adaptive M-specific Suspension, and M Sport Exhaust System are some of the other standard features. No other changes, obviously. The 4.4-litre biturbo V8 motor develops 460 kW (625 metric hp) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission and xDrive AWD system. The rear axle gets an Active M Differential. The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 3.3 seconds.
