Ford has taken the wraps off the new Focus ST Edition, available to order now in select European markets. In the UK, the price starts at £42,905 OTR. For those wondering, the Focus ST Edition is positioned above the Focus ST (£37,705).

Visually, the Focus ST Edition doesn’t look all that different from the Focus ST, except for the exclusive Azura Blue exterior paint. It gets the same gloss black 19-inch flow form alloy wheels as the ST, wrapped in high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. KW adjustable coilover suspension and 363 mm front discs—gripped by Brembo calipers are also included. What’s different is that the suspension is lowered by 10 mm front and rear compared with the standard ST, and also, spring rates are increased by more than 50% compared with the standard ST.

The adjustable suspension offers 12 jounce settings – the degree of upward damper movement allowed as the wheel contacts a bump on the road, and 16 rebound settings – the speed at which the damper returns to its position after an upward movement. The Focus ST Edition is also supplied with a technical document that offers recommended suspension settings for a variety of driving conditions – including specific settings for the Nordschleife – to help enthusiasts fine-tune their driving experiences.

Inside, you get ‘Motion Blue’ contrast stitching and of course, Ford Performance-branded front seats. The flat-bottom steering wheel carries a neat little ST badge. As with the ST, a B&O premium audio system is also part of the standard package.

The Focus ST Edition is powered by the same 2.3-litre 4-cylinder EcoBoost (turbo) petrol engine with 206 kW (280 metric hp) at 5,500 rpm and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque between 3,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox (7-AT option is available on ST). The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 5.7 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
