That’s right, we don’t even know the price of this bloody thing because the official launch is on October 17, but apparently, all 100 units allocated to India have been sold-out. Here, the term “sold-out” means booked. Which means, if someone cancels their booking, you might have a chance. So, keep in touch with your nearest Skoda dealer if you are craving one of these. And, don’t be surprised if a significant number of these are going to the Southern states, because that’s what happened with the Golf GTI. But anyway, the Skoda Octavia RS, currently in its 4th-gen facelift, looks stunning in this Mamba Green paint.
The Octavia RS facelift will be available only in the liftback form in India, but I think there should’ve been a 50/50 option (50 liftbacks and 50 wagons) since these are CBU imports anyway. Some of the key features include full LED Matrix headlights with AFS (adaptive front light system), LED taillight signatures with animated turn signals, 19-inch ‘Elias’ alloy wheels, Sports Suspension, Progressive Steering, and Sports Exhaust system with black tailpipes.
Powering the Octavia RS is a 2.0L 4-cylinder TSI with 195 kW (265 metric hp) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft). A 7-speed DSG drives the front wheels. While it continues to be a FWD vehicle, over 260 horsepower and a front XDS+ (electronic differential lock) should make it a fairly fun-to-drive vehicle. Maybe not bother too much trying to drift it though.
