Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda chassis 1

You probably remember reading about the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda over 4 years ago. Well, the time has finally arrived for it to become a reality, and what we’re seeing here is the first customer T.50s Niki Lauda, which will be one of the four cars Gordon Murray will showcase at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (9 – 12 July 2026).

Running up the Goodwood Hill, the first customer T.50s – chassis 1 – honours Murray’s first Formula One victory in 1974 at Kyalami, featuring a South African flag‑inspired livery over a white body, with Brabham BT44‑inspired gloss black race number ‘7’, referencing the race‑winning car driven by Carlos Reutemann.

The same colors are tastefully replicated on the inside. Only 25 T.50s Niki Lauda will be built, and if we understood the official release correctly, the other units are also ready for delivery.

The T.50s Niki Lauda is powered by a bespoke 3.9-litre V12 engine from Cosworth, pumping out 568 kW (772 metric hp) and 497 Nm (367 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed Xtrac H-pattern manual transmission, driving the rear wheels.
