According to several media reports, the Nissan Kicks, unveiled in Brazil last year, will be launched in India in the third quarter of 2018. Unlike the Brazil-spec model which is built on the V-platform, the India-spec model will be built on the Duster platform (Dacia M0 platform), which is also shared with the Russia-spec Renault Kaptur.

The Kicks SUV is currently being produced in Mexico, and is the first vehicle in Nissan’s history to be first launched in Latin America. The SUV will gradually reach 80 countries. If launched in India, it’ll most likely borrow the powertrains from the Duster, the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol.

The Brazil-spec Kicks is equipped with safety features such as the 360° camera, Motion Detector, Dynamic Chassis Control, Dynamic Curve Control, Active Body Stabilizer and Dynamic Motor Brake Control.
