BMW Motorrad has confirmed that the much-awaited motorcycles in India — the G 310 R and its adventure sibling — the G 310 GS, to be launched in the second half of 2018.

Bikers in India have been waiting for the Motorrad’s entry-level bike — the G 310 R, ever since it was displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo, while the GS is expected to make its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The 310 is a joint development between the German automaker and TVS Motor Company, and the motorcycles are being manufactured at TVS’ facility in Hosur.

Both motorcycles feature 2-channel ABS as standard. In the GS, the ABS can be deactivated at the press of a button if required.

The G 310 R retails at $4,750 (Rs 3.10 lakh approx.) in the US.
