Maruti Suzuki’s compact sedan Dzire, which sells more than samosas in India, has won the Good Design Award in Japan for the 2017 facelift. The award is presented by Japan Institute of Design Promotion, and is not limited to automobiles.
Along with the new Dzire, the new Swift, Swift Sport and the new Wagon R series have also won the awards. The new Wagon R is claimed to offer much roomier cabin space.
The new Dzire was launched in India in May 2017, and continues to be one of the company’s best sellers.
