‘Made in India’ Jeep Compass rolls out from Ranjangaon plant

Almost a month and a half after the official unveil to the media, the highly anticipated ‘Made in India’ Jeep Compass rolls out from Ranjangaon plant near Pune, with over 65% localization. The Ranjangaon facility will also cater to the RHD markets across the globe.

FCA had invested $280 Million at the Tata-Fiat collaborated Ranjangaon plant, primarily for the Compass SUV. Market launch is expected sometime in July this year, and exports will follow later.

The Compass will be available in India with two powertrains. The 1.4 litre MultiAir petrol and a 2.0 litre diesel. Read more about the India-spec Compass here.
