The hatchback which gave sleepless nights to Maruti in India, is priced at R$ 29,990 in Brazil, which roughly translates to Rs 5.78 lakh.
The Kwid for Brazil comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder flex fuel engine, producing 66 hp with Petrol and 70 hp with Ethanol. Claimed fuel efficiency for Petrol and Ethanol is 15.2 km/l and 10.5 km/l, respectively.
Features include 7-inch Media Nav touchscreen infotainment system, reversing camera, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and electric boot release. The Brazilian Kwid also gets rear defogger.
Moving on to the safety section, we’ve already seen that the Brazilan Kwid weighs around 140 kg more than the Indian Kwid owing to the increased structural rigidity to meet local safety standards. Adding to the safety features are 4 airbags (2 front and 2 side), and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Boot space measures 290 litres, while the ground clearance at 180 mm is same as the Indian Kwid.
