India Yamaha Motor has recalled FZ25 and Fazer 25 bikes over a possible loosening of “Head cover bolt”. This bolt must be tightened to a specified torque after applying recommended loctite at the earliest, the company said.

The recall covers 21,640 units of FZ 25 and 2,257 units of Fazer 25. The company said that no accident or safety-related issues have been reported so far, and this voluntary recall is a result of continuous research and inspection procedures at the company which has detected the possible flaw.

The repair will be done free of cost at an authorised dealership, and Yamaha urged the owners to avoid operating the vehicle as a precautionary measure until the issue is resolved.
