Second Generation Honda Amaze – First Look at Auto Expo 2018

The 2nd generation Honda Amaze made its global debut at the Auto Expo 2018.

The first thing that comes to your mind when you look at the design, is its bigger brother, the new City. It pretty much looks like someone took the new City to Photoshop and resized it into sub 4m. Speaking of sub 4m, now the new Amaze doesn’t look like two different cars glued together, it looks a lot more proportional.

We don’t know a lot of information just yet, as the car is yet to be launched, but Honda said that the new Amaze is built on a new platform and features a more stronger body. Driving dynamics has been improved as well. Apparently, the new platform has also given it a more spacious interiors.

Speaking of which, the interior layout has been refreshed, and the top-spec model is expected to come with a 7-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control and cruise control as well.

As for the powertrains, Honda will most likely carry forward the existing 1.2-litre petrol with a CVT option, and the 1.5-litre diesel paired to a manual transmission.

Honda says that the launch is going to happen in the financial year of 2018-19.
