The refreshed Skoda Fabia made its global debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in the ‘Monte Carlo’ and Combi variants.

For the first time, the Fabia gets optional LED headlamps and LED tail lamps. The LED headlamps come with adaptive front headlights (AFS) function, which illuminates the road to suit the respective driving situation. There is also a new 18-inch ‘Vega’ alloy wheels.

The Fabia Monte Carlo’s interiors feature two-tone seat upholstery and contrasting stitching on the door armrests. The instrument cluster has been redesigned as well with round dials. Other features include 6.5-inch Swing Plus infotainment system with Bluetooth and SmartLink+.

As for the safety, the new Fabia offers both passive and active safety systems. Standard features include Electronic Stability Control, ABS, EBC, ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) traction control, EBD, HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), Multi‑Collision Brake, XDS electronic differential lock, Isofix anchors for two child seats in the rear seats, tyre pressure monitoring and 6 airbags.

Adaptive Cruise Control, rear-view camera, parking sensors, Front Assist with integrated City Emergency Brake, the Driver Alert fatigue detection system, Easy Light Assist, Light and Rain Assist, High-Beam Assist, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert (low), Speed limiter and Hill-Hold Control are all optional.

The hatchback offers a minimum of 330 litres of storage space. Folding down the rear seats, which can be split in a ratio of 40:60, increases the boot capacity to 1,150 litres. The Fabia’s boot is claimed to be one of the largest in its segment.

With a capacity of 530 litres to 1,395 litres, the Fabia Combi offers an even more generous luggage compartment.

Powertrains
The engine range comprises straight-three engines – the naturally aspirated 1.0 MPI 44 kW (60 PS) or 55 kW (75 PS) and the turbocharged 1.0 TSI 70 kW (95 PS) and 81 kW (110 PS). Only the most powerful of these engines are combined with a 6-speed manual or DSG 7-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox. The other engines are fitted with a 5-speed manual transmission.
