Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) has launched the “Apex Predator” – GSX-S750, priced at Rs 7,45,000 ex-showroom, New Delhi. After Hayabusa, the 750 is Suzuki’s second big bike to be assembled in India.

As the name suggests, a 749 cc 4-stroke 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine powers the bike, delivering 84 kW (114 hp) @ 10,500 rpm and 81 Nm of torque @ 9,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Features include full LCD instrumentation, three-mode traction control system, Nissin ABS and LED tail light. The Traction Control system’s Mode one is for sport riding, Mode two for typical road conditions and, Mode three delivers maximum traction when riding in poor conditions, the company said.

Front suspension is KYB inverted forks while the rear is a mono (link type). Braking duties are handled by twin discs at front and a single disc at the rear.

The “Apex Predator” will be available in two dual colours – Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black and Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red.

Satoshi Uchida, MD, SMIPL said, “We had made a commitment to launch several new and premium products every year for the Indian-market. GSX-S750 is not just the first new offering from Suzuki for the new financial year, but is also our first-product in the sub-1000cc big-bike segment. As our second CKD model in India, we are confident that the GSX-S750 will further strengthen the ‘GSX’ brand, which is Suzuki’s DNA in motorcycles.”
