Skoda is readying another new RS model which appears to be hot hatch and is christened Vision RS at the moment. The RS suffix and its racy design indicates that this is a performance variant.

The above video showcases a designer sitting at the Skoda Design Villa’s courtyard, drawing lines inspired by the historic Skoda 130 RS rally car. In this tightly guarded villa on the banks of the Jizera river, 150 employees from 26 countries led by lead designer Oliver Stefani, are developing a new design language for Skoda.

Speaking of the Vision RS, it is smaller than the Karoq. The concept measures 4,356 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,431 mm tall. Interestingly, the wheelbase measures 2650 mm – longer than the Karoq.

The Vision RS seems to have a sloping roofline, which remains to be seen how it has affected the rear headroom. The concept will debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show in October.

Since 2000, the RS badge is being used to identify the performance variants of various Skoda model series.
