Vespa Notte launched at Rs 68,845

Piaggio India (PVPL) has launched the Vespa Notte limited edition model, priced at Rs 68,845 ex-showroom, Pune.

The ‘notte’ in Italian literally translates to ‘night’, which is why the scooter gets matte black bodywork with details in gloss black, such as the mirrors, grab rail, wheels and exhaust protection cover.

Also, the limited edition model comes with tube-type tyres instead of the tubeless and gets a drum brake at front, as a cost cutting measure.

No other mechanical changes. A 125 cc engine powers the scooter, which delivers 10.06 hp at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a CVT.

“Piaggio is delighted to launch the special edition Vespa Notte 125cc in India. This is an addition to the unique design and cutting-edge technology of Brand Vespa. The elegance of the brand is carried ahead by the all-black theme; it reflects and echoes the spirit of life and freedom and will win the hearts of our Vespa fans,” said Diego Graffi, CEO and MD Piaggio India.
